Bottles can be exchanged, new type for new type; they can be upgraded, new type for old type; and they can be purchased outright. This service is available for the standard 20 pound bottles used in grills, barbeques etc.
Old type bottles can be identified by the round handle for turning on the gas. The new type has a different shape handle with indentations for the fingers when turning on the gas
Bottles presented for exchange must be in good condition with no obvious damage or excessive rust.
We also stock the 16 Ounce Propane Containers for use with Propane appliances.
The industry standard is now to fill 20 pound bottles with only 15 pounds of propane. This change was made some time ago when prices were rising.
